Job summary

Carlex is seeking a motivated Production Associate in Auburn, Indiana. You will support general production tasks including loading and unloading parts, assembling components, and following work instructions and control plans to keep operations running smoothly.

You must be able to lift 45–50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work a 12-hour shift on a 3-2-2-3 schedule with overtime as needed. A high school diploma and at least 1 year manufacturing experience are preferred, along with basic

KEY TASKS INCLUDE

• General Production responsibilities including loading and unloading parts, assembly and additional duties as assigned.
• Understand and follow work instructions and control plans
• Operate machines along with other key tasks such as changeovers
• Do quality checks and input data into Quality system to keep the process nominal and input GMaPS data when required
• Maintain an organized clean work environment. 5S
• Perform other departmental job duties when directed by supervision
• Understands required PPE, location and purpose of all lock outs and E-stops
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment keeping the process running
• Handle all types of glass safely

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Years of Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work a 12-hour shift on our 3-2-2-3 schedule and required overtime.
• Ability to learn and follow procedures while working safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to lift 45-50 lbs regularly and/or occasionally able to walk 5-10 feet while carrying a 45-50 lb. windshield.
• Able to raise objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.
• Assemble components on glass, involving picking, pinching and fingering objects.
• Repetitive movements of wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Repetitive twisting and bending of upper & lower body.
• Work in extreme heat and humidity.
• Regular and predictable attendance required.
• Cooperate within teams to carry out tasks and responsibilities.
• Overtime may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand on concrete for extended periods of time.
• Some type of computer knowledge.
