Position Details
This is a temporary position with an expected duration not to exceed ten (10) months. This position is within a unionized bargaining unit, and union membership will be required.

Position Summary
The Production Assistant, Replay Operator, will collaborate with the Referee Operations Department, the Basketball Strategy and Analytics Department, and the Basketball Operations Department by monitoring games in real-time to flag actual or potential replay situations, operational issues, and statistical data for review by NBA Referees and Basketball Operations officials. The role may also involve performing other video and content-related tasks as directed.

Major Responsibilities
  1. Assist Replay and NBA Officials during play reviews.
  2. Identify real-time and potential replay situations.
  3. Track and tag plays of interest.
  4. Denote plays in the Evertz Video System for further review.
  5. Analyze game action to identify specific plays or events.
  6. Communicate effectively with Replay Officials, broadcast partners, officials, courtside statisticians, and game operations staff as needed.
Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Superior basketball knowledge.
  • Understanding of NBA game rules, including replay triggers.
  • Basic familiarity with NBA officiating terminology.
  • Strong computer and technical skills.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • Attention to detail and precision in task execution.
  • High-level playing and/or officiating experience.
  • Experience in basketball video analysis.
  • Passion for the game of basketball.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
Salary Range
$23.33/hr
