Production Assistant/(Non-CDL) Truck Driver

Join to apply for the Production Assistant/(Non-CDL) Truck Driver role at The Salvation Army.

This position involves completing driving routes for pickup and/or drop off of donations at the warehouse, assigned donation boxes, and donor homes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security and safe operation of the vehicle and equipment. Report accidents and complete necessary paperwork promptly.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck and personal items.
• Represent The Salvation Army professionally and courteously to customers and donors.
• Follow the 'Manual for Production Assistants' and report pickup issues immediately.
• Maintain a professional appearance according to dress code.
• Keep accurate records such as delivery manifests and trip logs.
• Load and unload the truck carefully, securing items to prevent damage.
• Assist Thrift Store personnel with deliveries and store organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable DMV record and ability to pass a driving test.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
