Job summary

ADP is seeking candidates for a manufacturing sewing role in our Goleta, CA facility. Under direct supervision, you will assist in the preparation and finishing of products, operating sewing and cutting equipment, and supporting the production line.

You will print labels, inspect finished work to meet quality standards, glue harness padding, assemble harnesses, and monitor stitching for defects. The job emphasizes orderly workstations, punctual attendance, and adherence to ISO procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industrial sewing and cutting equipment desired.
• Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Must have good computer skills, software and database entry desired.
• Effective oral communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment that cuts raw material such as nylon, canvas, and webbing according to specifications on assigned Work Orders.

• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to maintain job order due dates effectively while accurately prioritizing them at the same time.
• Understanding of ISO standards and ability to read and follow procedures and quality control preferred
• Ability to read English and interpret Work Orders required
• Ability to accurately document completion of each process in a legible format with minimal errors

QUALIFICATIONS (Education and experience)

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combinations of education and experience

Work environment is in a manufacturing facility with moderate noise level. The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, and use the hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel. Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close vision. The employee must regularly exert or lift up to 40 pounds of materials.
