The role requires deep NBA knowledge, strong research skills, and the ability to work under deadlines while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the NBA and basketball to assist in monitoring and informational support of highlight packages.
• Deep knowledge of NBA storylines, both current and historical.
• Deep knowledge of the NBA including rules, teams, players and league history.
• Passion for research and resourcefulness in discovering storylines and trending content.

Responsibilities

• Create nightly game note packets ahead of each game, including pertinent storylines and noteworthy statistical information.
• Provide game notes, monitor storylines and execute necessary fact-checking to assist with highlight curation.
• Contribute current and historical research to enhance and contextualise nightly content and highlight deliverables.
• Provide necessary research and information to assist in pregame preparation and content deliverables.
• Navigate cross-functional workflow to ensure internal and external stakeholders have appropriate informational resources.
• Communicate relevant statistics, developing storylines and key game points to highlight producers and the production team for timely development of content.
• Provide long-term research on league trends, storylines, milestones and historical events.

About the Role

This role supports the NBA's nightly content and highlight deliverables by providing game notes, monitoring storylines and carrying out fact-checking and research. The position works closely with highlight producers and the production team, supplying timely statistics, storylines and historical context. It also involves navigating cross-functional workflows so that internal and external stakeholders have access to appropriate informational resources.

• Provide game notes, monitor storylines and execute necessary fact-checking to assist with highlight curation

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the NBA and basketball, and of research tools and techniques, to assist in monitoring and informational support of highlight packages, breaking news and similar outputs


• Deep knowledge of NBA storylines, both current and historical


• Deep knowledge of the NBA including, but not limited to, rules and regulations, teams and players, and league history


• Passion for research and resourcefulness in discovering storylines and trending content


• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines


• Ability to communicate quickly and efficiently


• Willingness to work evenings

Workplace

• Eligible employees currently have the option of working remotely one day per week


• This position is within a unionised bargaining unit and union membership will be required


• Assignment end dates are tentative and subject to change

Salary

• $24.04/Hr
