This full-time role involves driving a Salvation Army truck for pickups and deliveries, adhering to safety and DOT/OSHA regulations, and representing the organization professionally to donors. You will perform daily vehicle inspections, assist with loading/unloading as needed, and participate in training to ensure efficient operations and excellent

Donation Pickup & Delivery Driver (Local Routes)

Location: St. Louis, MO

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

We're seeking a professional and courteous driver to transport materials to and from specified destinations. This role is essential in representing The Salvation Army while providing exceptional service to our donors and maintaining efficient operations.

What You’ll Do

Transportation & Logistics

• Follow scheduled routing procedures efficiently
• Drive Salvation Army truck for pickups and deliveries
• Ensure security and safe handling of all goods and materials
• Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles
• Maintain equipment in excellent working order
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations
• Train and Certify New Production Assistants

Customer Service

• Act as a personal representative of The Salvation Army
• Ensure all donors are treated courteously and respectfully
• Communicate donation acceptance policy with donors
• Report any pickup problems to dispatcher
• Maintain professional appearance per ARC dress code

Operations Support

• Use DSS program and assigned iPad apps effectively
• Support beneficiaries in work therapy goals through training and mentoring
• Handle loading and unloading of trucks as needed
• Wear all assigned PPE including gloves, masks, and back guard
• Report any safety or security concerns immediately
