Mars Snacking is hiring a Production Assistant for the Day Shift in Hackettstown, NJ. The role involves operating and overseeing equipment in a peanut-containing facility and requires basic mechanical aptitude with training provided.

Responsibilities include running lines, moving candy with mules, basic changeovers, and routine checks. Excellent opportunity with training, benefits, and a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Mechanical aptitude or willingness to train in manufacturing equipment
• Proficient with computers and iPad software; MS Office and email applications

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee a designated set of machines, equipment, and processes within the facility
• Drive mules to transport candy and materials
• Start up, shut down, monitor, clean, and perform basic changeovers on equipment
• Conduct minor repairs, routine checks, inspections and escalate issues
• Operate basic ancillary equipment and utilize relevant computer programs
• Perform any ad hoc tasks as required
