Job summary

Times Microwave Systems in Connecticut is seeking an Inventory/Materials Associate with manufacturing experience to manage work orders, transact daily reports, and maintain appropriate inventory levels for production lines.

You will assist with cycle counts, material transfers, and counting scrap, while collaborating with Supervisors and Sales to support new and existing orders. Experience with MRP systems (Oracle preferred) to monitor and adjust inventories is required.

Qualifications

• Two- or four-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• MRP experience, preferably Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Transact daily production reports, product transfers, and material transfers within MRP system.
• Cycle count work orders to maintain accuracy.
• Collect and maintain production reports.
• Assist Supervisors with production jobs in process.
• Enter scrap from various reports.
• Work directly with Sales regarding new and existing orders.
• Run reports through Oracle to monitor material inventories.
• Utilize MRP systems to obtain, monitor and order materials as needed.
• Move about the plant to count inventory and adjust the system accordingly to maintain accuracy.
• Order materials for upcoming jobs and help expedite daily jobs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Transact daily production reports, product transfers, and material transfers within MRP system

• Assist Supervisors with productions jobs in process
• Enter scrap from various reports
• Work directly with Sales regarding new and existing orders
• Run reports through Oracle to monitor material inventories
• Utilization of MRP systems to obtain, monitor and order materials as needed
• Ability to move about the plant to count inventory and adjust the system accordingly to maintain accuracy
• Order materials for upcoming jobs, as well as help expedite jobs needed daily
• All other duties from either written or verbally given from supervisor
