Job summary

The Sheridan Group is hiring a Manufacturing Associate for finishing/bindery on the 2nd shift (2:30PM–11PM) in Minnesota. You’ll train to operate high-speed bindery equipment, feed and pack books, and contribute to a safe, efficient production line.

No prior bindery experience required—we’ll train you. If you’re reliable, work well in a team, and can follow written and spoken instructions, this entry-level role offers opportunities to grow in print manufacturing and build a long-term career.

What You’ll Do:

• Feed books/signatures into machine.
• Pack books into cartons.
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation.

• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.

What We’re Looking For:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read sufficiently to identify various printed forms and count accurately.
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

Physical & Work Environment:

Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.

• Walking: Must be able to walk with ease, as some operations require constant walking.
• Standing: Must be able to stand (almost all jobs operations require long hours) on a concrete floor, or wooden platform.
• Lifting: Must be able to lift various materials weighing up to 50 pounds continuously.
• Twisting: Must be able to twist/rotate at the waist, up to 90 degrees, when loading or packing.
