Job summary

Sur-Seal in Cincinnati is seeking a Production Assistant for the 2nd shift to support manufacturing operations. The role involves pulling material, dies, and packaging supplies while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to standard work methods.

You will follow safety procedures to keep production efficient and safe, assist the production team, and perform housekeeping tasks as needed. Lifting up to 50 lbs is required.

• Perform quality-safe operations and transport finished pieces.
• Follow safety policies and complete required documentation.
• Housekeeping and keep aisles clear of clutter.
• Collaborate with other Production Assistants to complete tasks.

Job Location: Wesselman - Cincinnati, OH 45248
Salary Range: $20.00 - $21.00 Hourly
Job Shift: 2nd Shift (Production Assistant, 2nd Shift)

Hours: 2:45pm-12:00am Monday - Thursday, 2:45pm-7:45pm Friday

Job Summary

Perform variety of tasks involved to assist in production activities. Some of those tasks are pulling material, pulling dies, staging material, etc. They must follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs work as assigned by Production Manager, Area Lead, or Team Lead.
• Pull packaging supplies (boxes, pallets, bags, etc.) per job instructions.
• Read job specifications and fully understand process prior to beginning each operation.
• Pull materials for next jobs.
• Pull dies for next jobs.
• Pull any associated tools or fixtures.
• Move documentation back and forth to administrator and attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Perform operation to acceptable quality standards and transports finished work pieces.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Accurately complete all documentation as required to complete each job.
• Perform housekeeping duties around work center such as emptying trash bins and keeping isles clear of clutter to avoid slips, trips, and falls.
• Work in partnership with other Production Assistants to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Does not perform quality tasks or decisions.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Area Leader.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast paced production environment.
• Committed to following processes and quality procedures to achieve repeatable results.
• Computer skills preferred, Microsoft Office Suite, production-related applications.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee must be able to stand for an entire shift, lift 50 lbs on a repetitive basis, and perform the physical activities directly related to the position.
