Job summary

Buffalo Toronto Public Media is seeking per-diem Production Assistants to support studio productions on-site in Buffalo. Responsibilities include setting and lighting for studio shoots, operating cameras, and serving as floor manager during productions.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in television production, familiarity with studio operations, and knowledge of field production techniques. This on-site role includes free parking and an irregular schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Broadcast Production/Communications preferred.
• 2+ years' experience in a professional television production environment or equivalent experience at a college, university or technical school.
• Must have working knowledge of studio operations including operation of studio cameras, floor directing and other studio production tasks.
• Should be familiar with electronic field production equipment and techniques.

Hours And Salary

This is a non-exempt, per-diem/casual position which means you would work an irregular schedule as needed/requested - this is on-site work at our station. Our Production Assistants may be at level I, II or III and starting pay will be based on education, experience and interview. Pay range: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour.
