Description
As a part of the Production Team, a Production Assembly Worker will be responsible for all required assemblies and installations on heavy-duty transit buses in the assigned work area on the production line, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
We are seeking Production Assembly Workers to work on 1st shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday-Friday. There may be overtime opportunities available after the scheduled shift and on Saturday.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform all installations and/or assemblies within a specified work area on the production line.
- Prepare work by reviewing assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Ensure quality and consistency in installations and/or assemblies within a specified work area.
- Work from blueprints, process sheets, and/or written instructions, building to those specifications using measurement tools and basic math skills.
- Have working knowledge of hand and air tools. Be aware of exposure to vibration and working near moving mechanical parts.
- Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods.
- Keep workstation clean and safe.
- Attend work regularly, perform assigned duties, and work overtime as required to meet production schedules.
