Job summary

Ziehm-Orthoscan Inc. in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Production Assembly Technician to perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly of Orthoscan medical device products in a regulated environment. This full-time role supports surgical/clinical applications with a focus on quality and safety.

The position requires 2+ years of related assembly experience, adherence to SOPs and FDA/ISO standards, and the ability to use hand and power tools while maintaining meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years mechanical and/or electro-mechanical assembly experience.
  • Experience in ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 environment (medical device, aerospace, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience assembling mechanical/electrical assemblies and sub-components.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical/electrical assemblies and how they operate.
  • May require PPE and exposure to low-dose radiation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Evaluate and test components and assemblies during the build process.
  • Adhere to Work Instructions, SOPs, and FDA/ISO regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail with documentation, communication, and math skills.
  • Follow safety practices and PPE requirements.
  • Follow instructions to ensure work is completed to the best of the technician’s ability.
  • Work independently and manage time effectively for maximum throughput.
  • Work with various hand and power tools.
  • Recognize issues, troubleshoot, and repair as needed.
  • Work as part of the Production Team to meet goals.
  • Competently handle high value materials safely.

Finished products are used in surgical/clinical settings and are required to be built to stringent requirements to ensure patient and operator safety.


Essential Functions:

  • Perform various mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Evaluate and test components and assemblies prior to and during the build process.
  • Adhere to Work Instructions, SOP’s, and all other FDA/ISO regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail with documentation, communication, and math skills
  • Comply with safety practices and follow personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Ability to follow instructions to ensure work is completed to best of technician’s ability.
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively for maximum throughput.
  • Ability to work with various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to recognize an issue, troubleshoot, and repair as needed.
  • Work as a part of the Production Team to ensure team and personal goals are met.
  • Have competent dexterity to ensure safe handling of high value materials.


Basic Qualifications:
Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Experience:
