Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking an assembler to build mechanical and electro-mechanical subassemblies. You will fit, align, calibrate, and adjust components, using hand and power tools while following established manufacturing procedures.

The role requires the ability to test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and quality standards, with daily production records and potential overtime. Safety-sensitive position with on-site work in a controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Willing to work outside normal business hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, aligns, and adjusts fabricated parts/units per specifications.
• Tests and calibrates parts to meet tolerances and specs.
• Maintains daily production records and follows procedures.
• Repairs or refits parts that fail tests or tolerance levels.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
