Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking an assembler to construct mechanical and electrical subassemblies using hand and power tools. You will fit, align, calibrate, and adjust components to meet tolerances and operate within established procedures.

Responsibilities include testing, calibrating, and potentially repairing units that fail to meet requirements, while maintaining production records and ensuring a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED with 0–3 years’ experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours as required.
• Preferred: Vocational/Technical Training Degree.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units per specifications.
• Operate and maintain assembly stations using hand and power tools.
• Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerances.
• Maintain daily production records of assemblies.
• Keep a clean, organized work area.
