Job description

Summary

A Production Assembler position is available in Flower Mound, TX at MI Windows and Doors. The Production Assembler will safely and efficiently fabricate and assemble precision-built windows and/or sliding glass doors and various sub-components within established quality standards. This is a Day Shift position that starts at 7 am. The hourly pay rate is $20.50/hr.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
• Communicate effectively and participate actively within a goal-oriented team environment
• Read and interpret production orders for specifications such as material type, size, and color
• Operate chop saws and industrial fabrication equipment (saws, punches, drills, routers, etc.)
• Use pneumatic hand tools for fabrication and assembly
• Assemble and install insulated glass panels into sash and/or frame
• Install and attach hardware
• Inspect work-in-process and finished units for quality compliance
• Package, wrap, and stack completed units for shipment
• Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work instructions, procedures, and production orders
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and consistently
• Ability to stand and move frequently during repetitive tasks
• Team-oriented attitude with good attendance
• Focus on quality and safety
• Customer service mindset and motivation to meet production goals
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Previous team assembly experience is a plus
