Overview

The Red Lion Team is seeking a Production Assembler I for 1st Shift (7am - 4:30pm). GD-OTS offers comprehensive benefits starting on the first day, including medical, dental, and vision coverage at low cost and without a waiting period.

Summary: Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts, and electrical/electronic systems to create subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment. Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts to meet specifications and product requirements; repairs units that fail to meet standards.

Major Responsibilities:

• Operates and maintains assembly stations following manufacturing procedures.
• Uses hand tools, power tools, and equipment to assemble units.
• Tests and calibrates parts to ensure quality standards.
• Repairs or refits parts or units as needed.
• Keeps accurate production records.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education/experience.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Assembly, calibration, component installation, soldering, troubleshooting, functional testing.
• Ability to follow instructions, lift heavy objects, and maintain physical stamina.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vocational/Technical Training Degree.

Physical Demands:

• Remain stationary at a desk or computer for extended periods.
• Move throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Lift up to 45 pounds.
• Work inside and outside, possibly in varying climates.
• Work outside normal hours and possibly different shifts.
