Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is hiring a Production Assembler in our Folsom, California location.

The Production Assembler I assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment. This role fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; and may repair units or products that have failed to meet requirements.

We are on a 9/80 schedule (9-hour days Monday - Thursday, alternating Fridays off, with the opposite Fridays being 8-hour days). This is a full-time on-site position.

Major Position Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications, following established manufacturing procedures.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units.
  • Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards.
  • Repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
  • Keep daily assembly production records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Vocational/Technical Training preferred
  • 0-3 years relevant experience
  • General knowledge of assembly, calibration, component installation, soldering, troubleshooting, and functional testing.
  • Ability to lift/move heavy objects.
Pay Range (USD)

$34,650 - $64,350 annually

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.

Additional Compensation

Hired applicants may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.
