This role will support production, development/prototype assemblies and products within the Advanced Product Center (APC) at the McKinney, TX site. The selected candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing / production environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Duties may include assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  2. May set up and operate a variety of machine and hand instruments. May route, dispatch and expedite flow of material.
  3. Checks for work correctness. Specific duties will include material preparation and the assembly and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
  4. Perform wire/cable preparation, installation, crimping, and torqueing using hand instruments.
  5. All work is performed in accordance with written work instructions to prescribed standards.
  6. Ability to work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals.
  7. Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established, demonstrated process.
  8. Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.
  9. Develop more than one job at a time and have the flexibility to work across shifts.
Qualifications
  • Requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in performing product assemblies by utilizing procedures, manuals, schematics, engineering drawings, verbal instructions, and/or other related documentation under limited supervision.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent hand/finger dexterity and extreme attention to detail.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Experience with the use of common hand instruments (screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, torque tools and analyzers, etc.).
  • Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation databases and tools.
  • Related experience working in a Manufacturing, Assembly, Aviation or Naval Environment with hands-on technical experience in repair, installation, and inspection.
