Job Description

The Assembler will assemble machines, equipment, and their subassemblies, build baseplates, structures, or guards following blueprints and specifications. Responsibilities include:

  1. Planning pump assembly procedures, following specifications, and installing moving parts to test movement.
  2. Fabricating metal structures, baseplates, and guards by sawing, cutting, welding, and grinding.
  3. Operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment safely.
  4. Drilling, tapping, reaming holes, aligning components, and assembling parts.
  5. Aligning gears, drive couplings, and sub-assemblies to close tolerances.
  6. Assisting in other shop areas as directed.
Qualifications

Candidates should have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience in a similar field.
  • High mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn hands-on assembly.
  • Competence with various machines and hand tools.
  • Ability to read instructions, with welding and machining experience a plus.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently.
  • Problem-solving skills and common sense application.
