Job summary

NextDeavor in California is seeking a Production Assembler 1 to perform routine mechanical and electromechanical assembly, ensuring components meet quality and safety standards. You will support the production team on the 2nd shift (evenings), on-site Monday–Friday in a consistent 5x8 schedule with guaranteed 40 hours per week.

The role involves reading blueprints, assembling small parts under a microscope, soldering, curing with epoxies, in-process testing, and strict adherence to safety

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of assembler experience.
  • Experience reading blueprints or shop drawings.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for small parts work.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics and follow written operating instructions.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent related experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to use an industrial sewing machine as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine mechanical and electromechanical assembly of small parts and components following established instructions and procedures.
  • Review shop traveler/route cards or uncomplicated schematic drawings to confirm sequence of operations.
  • Position very small parts under a binocular microscope using tweezers or fixtures and perform fine adjustments, bends, and soldering.
  • Bond or seal parts with epoxies and use ovens or direct heating elements for curing.
  • Conduct in-process testing and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; may work nights, weekends, variable schedules, or additional hours as needed.

You will perform routine mechanical and electromechanical assembly that ensures components meet quality and safety standards. You will support the production team on the 2nd shift (evenings), working onsite Monday–Friday in a consistent 5x8 schedule with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Your work directly impacts manufacturing throughput and product readiness for downstream operations.
