Job summary

M-D Building Products in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a Packaging Operator to run packaging operations on metal and vinyl products. You will follow work schedules, receive instructions, monitor quality, and manage line setup and changeovers.

Ideal candidates have basic math and writing skills, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to communicate clearly with teammates while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

Qualifications

• Able to work and communicate with others and follow direct orders.
• Good hand and eye coordination.
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying).
• Basic writing skills are required to complete daily production records.
• Basic verbal communication skills are required to transfer or interpret the explanation of problems and to receive and understand work assignments.

• Operate packaging operations on metal products.
• Monitor continually for acceptable quality.
• Replenish supply as needed.
• Set up and change over as needed.
• Catch products coming off the end of the line and stack.
• Complete production records.
• Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly fashion.
• Dispose of scrap materials in appropriate containers.
• As directed, perform associated duties of equal or less difficulty.
• Must be able to always interact with employees professionally.
