Job summary

CEIA USA, located in Hudson, OH, is seeking aProduction Assembler to assemble mechanical and electrical parts, perform testing, and package finished goods. The role emphasizes following detailed procedures, meeting timing goals, and ensuring quality through inspections, soldering, and cable assembly tasks.

The ideal candidate will have High School or GED, basic PC skills, and 1–2 years in manufacturing. Training is provided; physical tasks include lifting and standing in a clean manufacturing

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to use hand, power and pneumatic tools.
  • Read and follow bill of materials and assembly drawings.
  • Basic Windows PC literacy required.
  • Capable of performing repetitive work in a production setting.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assembly of mechanical and electrical parts and assemblies.
  • Package finished goods with required labeling.
  • Follow written procedures, BOMs and quality documents.
  • Meet standard process routing times.
  • Perform in-process inspections and testing of assembled parts; identify non-conforming parts and follow quality procedures.
  • Complete modification of finished goods following written procedures.
  • Complete evaluation of finished products returned from customers following written procedures.
  • Assembly and soldering of cable and electrical assemblies.
  • On the job training for soldering and cable assembly.

Job Description Summary

Production Assembler position requires the assembly and packaging of mechanical and electrical assemblies and finished products. Mechanical products includes wheel kits assembled using hand, power, and pneumatic tools. Electrical products include metal detectors and cables assembled using hand tools, soldering tools and computer controlled testing equipment.

  • Complete assembly of mechanical and electrical parts and assemblies.
  • Package finished goods and applies required labeling.
  • Follows written documentation including assembly procedures, drawings, bill of materials and other quality documents.
  • Meets standard process routing times. Percentage of time: 70%
  • Complete in process inspections and testing of assembled parts. Identify non-conforming (defective) parts and follows appropriate quality procedures. Percentage of time: 10%
  • Complete modification of finished good products following written procedures. Percentage of time: 10%
  • Complete evaluation of finished products returned from customers following written procedures. Percentage of time: 10%
  • Assembly and soldering of cable and electrical assemblies.
  • On the job training provide for soldering and assembly of cable assemblies. Once trained, production assembler shall be proficient in cable assembly tasks.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in operating powered lift trucks and soldering of wires and printed circuit board assemblies.
  • Technical education or certification in electrical, computer or manufacturing areas is desired.
Working Conditions

CEIA USA Production environment is located in a modern, climate controlled, clean and organized facility. A comprehensive Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) program ensures OSHA worker requirements are followed.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physically lifting items from 35lbs to 50lbs is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear.

Specific vision abilities are required by this position that include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel is primarily local during the business day.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 1-2 years manufacturing experience desired by not required.
