The Production Assembler is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the assembly and build process of commercial door frames. Working under the direction of Value Stream Leader and area leads, this position ensures that daily production schedules are met while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Assemble commercial door frames and related products using hand and power tools.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the build or packaging process.
- Identify material defects or incorrect conditions and report them to supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area that supports production flow.
- Follow SOPs, production schedules, safety protocols, 5S principles, and Standard Work Instructions.
- Learn and adapt to new tools, processes, and technologies as needed.
- Review and interpret project specifications, Standard Work, and work instructions.
- Assemble commercial door frames using appropriate equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Perform quality checks throughout the build process to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and following 5S.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Demonstrate a team-oriented mindset and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in required training.
- Understand the names of common tools and use them correctly and safely.
- Accurately use a tape measure.
- Learn and adapt to new tools, processes, and techniques as needed.
- Perform basic assembly and packaging tasks using work instructions.
- Identify basic quality defects.
- Follow established procedures, contribute to continual improvement, and promote a culture of quality,
- environmental responsibility, and workplace safety.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
- Comply with all OSHA, and company safety policies, procedures and requirements.
- Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
- Attend scheduled safety training.
- Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed safety goals and plans.
- Recommend improved safety practices.
- Practices safe work habits and follows general safety procedures such as proper lifting and bending, ergonomics, proper use of equipment and use of personal protection equipment (PPE).
- Adheres to and ensures lockout procedures are followed any time the equipment is being cleaned or maintained.
PRODUCT SAFETY AND QUALITY:
- Responsible for supporting and complying with the company’s Integrated Management System, which aligns with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health and Safety) standards.
- Promotes a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility by following established IMS procedures aligned with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); preferred: prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment or experience in carpentry, press operation, or machining
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with power/hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measuring instruments (e.g., tape measure)
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs and meet production deadlines and targets
Physical Requirements:
- Stand for extended periods of time (10–12 hours)
- Frequent lifting of 25–50 pounds
- Regular standing, walking, reaching, and use of hands and fingers
- Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Must be able to communicate effectively, hear, and maintain adequate vision, including close vision and depth perception.
