SEPAC Inc. is seeking a Production Assembler to build clutches/brakes and related components from varied materials, following blueprints and performing initial tests to ensure parts meet specifications.

The role includes circuit testing, torque measurements, and basic machining. You will work with engineering to develop and validate processes, maintain a clean workspace, and help ensure on-time deliveries. Attention to detail and safe practices are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts per instructions or blueprints, using manual and machine tools.
  • Adjust/align parts to maintain specified gaps and tolerances.
  • Solder wire connections/terminals as required.
  • Clean parts using cleaners and air tools; maintain workspace.
  • Test circuits for resistance and current; perform torque and endurance tests.
  • Perform basic manufacturing processes (turning/milling/drilling) as needed.
  • Inspect and measure components with micrometers/calipers; document results.
  • Operate bench dynos or related equipment to evaluate performance.
  • Maintain organized work area and ensure timely deliveries.

Description
Summary

The Production Assembler is responsible for a variety of parts made of various materials to produce clutches/brakes/associated components. Performs evaluation/acceptance test and all necessary final inspections on products. The job involves ensuring that all components are put together accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with specifications or quality standards. Works with product and manufacturing engineering personnel as necessary to develop and test new processes/product designs.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assembling various parts or components of a product according to instructions or blueprints. This can involve manual assembly, machine operation, or both.
  • Adjusts/aligns parts to maintain specified air gap/dimensional/performance characteristics
  • Solders wire connections/terminals
  • Cleans parts with liquid cleaner/air hoses/cloth
  • Tests electric circuits for resistance/current, etc.
  • Measures/adjusts torque/performs performance tests/leak tests/endurance tests
  • Performs basic manufacturing processes such as turning/milling/drilling as necessary to assemble/disassemble products
  • Assembles parts using hand tools/arbor presses/hydraulic presses, etc.
  • Uses micrometers/calipers/oscilloscopes/voltmeters to measure output/inspect dimensional characteristics
  • Operates bench/engine dynamometers to evaluate product performance
  • Inspects returned product to identify problems/repair requirements
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance activities on shop equipment as required
  • Maintains organized work and plans out tasks to ensure customer specifications and deliveries are met
