Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Production Assembler to assemble fabricated parts and units on the production floor, test and calibrate components to meet specifications, and repair units that fail tests. The role supports efficiency initiatives and daily operations.

You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., at our Charlotte, NC facility, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of job-related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations.
• Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and specs.
• Identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as necessary.
• Propose measures to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Perform simple screening, tagging and packaging tasks.

Job description

As a Production Assembler, you will assemble fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations. You will prepare parts for testing, test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. You will perform complex machine set up and identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as necessary. You will be responsible for proposing measures to increase productivity and efficiency.

Shift: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

A Day in The Life of a Production Assembler

As a Production Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and calibrating fabricated parts, or units to meet product specifications. You will identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair them as necessary.

• Propose measures to increase productivity and efficiency
• Perform simple screening, bagging, boxing, or cutting operations
• Inspect and test work for quality
• Perform and log scheduled preventative maintenance of production equipment
• Determine sequence of operations, materials required, and procedures needed
• Stage job materials for production according to procedure
