Job summary

Stryten Energy is seeking a Production Area Manager in Kansas City, KS to lead and develop 3-5 production supervisors across three shifts. You will drive safety, quality and efficiency while meeting production goals in a heavy manufacturing setting.

You will oversee staffing, implement Lean initiatives, collaborate with maintenance, and ensure adherence to Quality Systems and continuous improvement programs, reporting to Plant Management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing-based setting.
• Bachelor's degree in a Business or Engineering discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean six sigma experience considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage distribution of product within budget, policies, procedures, priorities, and quality.
• Directly supervise shift supervisors.
• Develop and implement methods to improve productivity, space utilization, and quality.
• Assure compliance with safety and health policies and procedures.
• Train and develop supervision to include hourly workforce.
• Determine staffing needs and optimize hours usage.
• Monitor housekeeping and orderliness across the department.
• Collaborate with maintenance for optimal efficiency.
• Comply with Quality Systems requirements.
• Support Lean Manufacturing procedures.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Operations/Plant Manager.
