Job summary

Menasha Corporation in Coloma, MI is seeking a Production Area Leader (Sr. Supervisor) to guide corrugator operations, drive safety, quality and efficiency, and provide backup leadership for shifts across weekends.

You will develop standard work, partner with cross-functional teams to improve safety, delivery and cost, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across departments while managing roll stock and starch systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of manufacturing process improvement experience; corrugate experience preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.
• Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, CAD software preferred.
• Willing to travel occasionally for training and business activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the starch system to ensure continuous and efficient flow throughout the process.
• Back up shift supervisors and direct production teams to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Attend meetings and complete required reports.

If you like to make things happen and are passionate about what you do, you’re going to want to be here.Join us and become part of the power behind possible.**About The Opportunity**The Senior Supervisor serves as the corrugator area leader, overseeing production flow, driving improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency, and providing backup support for shift supervisors across all shifts and weekends.* Develop and implement standard work and training for fanfold and corrugate operations to improve safety, quality, efficiency, product development, and cost performance.* Partner with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost results.* Use continuous improvement tools to increase manufacturing quality, reliability, and efficiency.* Lead capital projects and operational improvement initiatives across multiple departments.* Identify root causes of equipment or process failures and implement solutions to prevent them from happening again.* Manage roll stock area to ensure adequate inventory is available and usage is recorded accurately.* Manage the starch system to ensure continuous and efficient flow throughout the manufacturing process and connected equipment network.* Corrugating and fanfold process expert.* Maintain the pay-for-skill program to ensure employee training and standard work support operational needs.* Use data to monitor process performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.* Implement new equipment, processes, and technologies to improve operations.* Develop and conduct testing to establish process standards and verify performance requirements.* Create and maintain systems that improve productivity, quality, equipment performance, automation, and downtime reduction.* Back up of the shift supervisors as needed to direct and supervise the production teams to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets while achieving efficient and effective operations.* Attend meetings and complete reports as needed.* Other duties may be assigned.**Qualifications*** High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.* 5+ years of manufacturing process improvement experience; corrugate experience strongly preferred.* At least 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational improvements.* Demonstrated success improving efficiency, reducing costs, and applying lean manufacturing principles.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to support decisions.* Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.* Self-motivated with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.* Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, control logic, and CAD software preferred.* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.* Able to work collaboratively across departments and support multiple shifts as needed.* Willing to travel occasionally for training and other business-related activities.**Physical Requirements**This individual will be walking and standing most of the assigned shift it requires a continuous presence on the manufacturing floor and some visits to the office area. The manufacturing floor is not climate controlled.While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, and use hands to type, write and or manage tools and equipment. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. Occasionally the employee is required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms (example: climbing stairs, reaching at, above, and or below shoulder height). The employee must occasionally lift and or move objects such as boxes of 15-25 pounds and above 49 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus to watch video monitor.
