Production Area Lead

Description
FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a Production Area Lead that will work as part of a larger team to assemble high‑tech components and package the final assembled product for customer delivery. Once you join the team, you will perform a wide variety of tasks within the production line and in a warehouse setting. You will have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills and expand your career in smart manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to perform the roles and responsibilities of Assembly Operator, SMT/PTH/Test Operator I, SMT/PTH/Test Operator II, and SMT/PTH/Test Assistant Lead.
- Leads and motivates a team that works to complete tasks as set by higher‑level management.
- Track attendance in an organized fashion.
- Create accurate end‑of‑shift report.
- Assist Production Supervisor in overseeing line operations.
- Must be willing to serve as a back‑up for the Production Supervisor.
- Assign daily duties to assembly team and monitor and maintain production output.
- Track UPH and determine where the bottlenecks are and escalate to production supervisor.
- Ensure production team has correct materials and adequate quantity to complete goals.
- Provide effective communication and escalate issues as needed.
- Build and fulfill requirements needed; work closely with engineering, quality, and shipping department to ensure product is completed and shipped on time.
- Develop understanding of and ability to complete daily and weekly production plan to achieve output.
- Ensure operator adherence to working times, quality standards and work instructions.
- Communicate cross‑functionally and raise issues through proper channels including leaders through Production, Warehouse, PMH, Maintenance and Engineering and Quality.
- Resolve low‑level conflicts; know when conflicts need to be escalated to the supervisor/manager.
- Willingness to move to a variety of workstations and perform a multitude of tasks.
- Follow policies and instructions that pertain to quality work standards and production quality.
- Promote safety and apply 5s principles; clean, dust, sweep, mop, tape, and organize your work area.
- Must be able to work well in a team setting and be willing to collaborate with others as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; 2‑year technical degree preferred.
- 1 year experience in a related field required, 2‑4 years’ experience strongly preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
- IPC‑610 Certification strongly preferred.
- Must be able to read tape measure, work instructions, and other documents written in English.
- Must follow safety protocols and wear PPE properly.
- Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50lbs; must be able to stand/walk for 8+ hours.
