SPL is seeking a detail-oriented Production Allocations Specialist for the Measurement Data Services team in Houston, TX. You will handle production and allocation data, generate reports, and support monthly close and regulatory filings in a deadline-driven energy environment.

The role requires strong data skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure accurate monthly reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in production allocation, accounting, reconciliation, regulatory reporting, data analysis, or data-intensive roles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and validate production and allocation data across spreadsheets, records, and systems.
• Generate and review production allocation reports to support monthly reporting.
• Support monthly reconciliation and close by researching discrepancies.
• Maintain master data, production records, and documentation for allocation and reporting.
• Assist with state and federal regulatory reporting and filings.
• Collaborate with production accounting, operations, and other teams to ensure timely reporting.

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Production Allocations Specialist to join our Measurement Data Services team in Houston, TX.

In this role, you’ll work with production and allocation data that drives accurate monthly reporting, production accounting support, and regulatory compliance. You’ll maintain and validate production records, prepare allocation reports, support monthly reconciliation and close activities, investigate data discrepancies, and assist with state and federal regulatory filings. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, Excel, and detailed processes in a deadline-driven energy environment.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and validate production and allocation data across spreadsheets, records, and supporting systems
• Generate and review production allocation reports to support accurate monthly reporting
• Support monthly reconciliation and close activities by researching and resolving routine discrepancies
• Maintain master data, production records, and supporting documentation used for allocation, reconciliation, and reporting
• Assist with state and federal regulatory reporting and required filings
• Review source documentation to research data questions and support issue resolution
• Prepare recurring operational and data reports in accordance with established procedures
• Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders regarding data, reporting, discrepancies, and deadlines
• Collaborate with production accounting, operations, and other teams to support timely allocation and reporting activities
• Manage recurring priorities and deadlines related to close, reconciliation, regulatory reporting, and client deliverables
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in production allocation, accounting, reconciliation, regulatory reporting, data analysis or comparable data-intensive roles
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and support resolution
• Proven ability to manage deadlines, collaborate effectively across teams, and quickly learn new systems and processes

Work Schedule & Travel

• Full-time, hybrid position
• Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours, including evenings or weekends, when required to meet monthly close or business deadlines
