Nexus Black, an AI-first business within IFS, is seeking a skilled engineer to build agentic systems that reason and orchestrate. You’ll ship production code from week one and see it used by field technicians on customer sites.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, strong software fundamentals, and a pragmatic approach to solving real-world problems in industrial settings, with a focus on reliability and observability.

Qualifications

• Production experience with LLMs and model APIs.
• Experience building eval pipelines with golden datasets and regression suites.
• Strong software fundamentals and ability to write deterministic code over model calls.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic workflows using Claude, LangChain, and LangGraph.
• Own evaluation; define what 'correct' means and build eval harnesses and golden datasets.
• Take features from prototype to production with observability and tracing.
• Join customer ride‑alongs and site visits to feed learnings back into code.
• Work with coding agents daily (Claude Code, Cursor) and improve tooling.
• Contribute like an owner: PR reviews and design docs.
