Job summary

Crescent Energy seeks a Production Accountant to oversee assigned operated assets, ensuring accurate production data for internal reporting and regulatory obligations. You will balance daily stewardship with month-end close, collaborating with Lease Operators, Foremen, Superintendents, Measurement, and Revenue teams.

Required is a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of upstream accounting experience; ProCount knowledge and data tooling like Carte, SQL, and Power BI are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Energy Commerce, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of upstream oil and gas production accounting experience.
• Experience with ProCount or comparable production accounting software.
• Strong understanding of production allocations, reconciliations, production reporting, and upstream operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Production Accounting representative for an assigned portfolio of operated assets, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Perform month-end production accounting activities, maintain allocation networks, and reconcile volumes.
• Investigate production accounting discrepancies and ensure SOX-compliant documentation.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Revenue, and Regulatory teams to support audits and regulatory reporting.
• Support testing of process improvements, automation, and acquisition integration in production accounting.
