Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an on-site Test Technician in Mount Holly Springs to join a world‑class team focused on high-precision timing devices.

You will perform automated testing, interpret results, and troubleshoot issues with test equipment, including SMT soldering as needed. With 2+ years in electronic testing, you will work both independently and with a team, following process docs and contributing to product quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic or product testing.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree in a technical field preferred.
• Detail oriented with quality and safety mindset.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Basic PC skills, math skills, and product knowledge.
• Basic electronic / electrical knowledge or understanding.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, read, and interpret process documentation to perform a variety of automated testing.
• Interpret test data to determine pass / fail test results.
• Troubleshoot test failures, equipment malfunctions, and product issues to determine root cause and support corrective actions.
• Operate test equipment (multimeter) and automated test systems.
• Basic soldering of surface mount components.
