Job summary

eTeam is seeking a Test Engineer II in the Footwear Lab to support materials and mechanical testing of basketball footwear. You will design tests, collect and analyze data, write reports, and communicate results to product teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and at least 2 years in test design and data analysis, with experience in product/material testing and statistical analysis. On-site in Beaverton, OR, with a ~13-month contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in test design, data collection, data analysis, and/or equipment design.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for explaining technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with product and materials testing.
• Experience with statistical analysis of data.
• Basic knowledge of biomechanics and/or CAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Test basketball footwear products and analyze data.
• Complete standard materials and mechanical tests, review data, write reports, and communicate results.
• Assist more senior engineers on testing projects, train others in area of expertise, and help identify protocol/equipment improvements.
• Collaborate with product creation teams to ensure footwear quality.

Pay Range: $(40.00 – 44.00)/hr on W2 all-inclusive without benefits

Position Requirements:

• On-site role at PHK; 5 days/week on site, typical work hours
• Contract will run ~13 months from start date
• Bachelor’s degree minimum required for this role
• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience required in a lab/testing environment

• Hands on experience with product/materials testing

Skills that would make a candidate stand out:

• Experience with statistical analysis
• Experience with universal testing machines (UTMs) or Instron machines

• 3D printing experience

Responsibilities:

• The main focus of the role will be to test basketball footwear products - not athlete-facing/human subject participants, but the product itself
• ETW will work with ~2-3 others on a daily basis; larger team is ~18
• 1 round of interviews anticipated

• You will also assist more senior engineers on testing related projects, consult and train others in your area of expertise, and help identify changes in protocols or equipment within the lab to improve accuracy and efficiency.
