Job description

We are seeking a Product & Test Development Engineer specializing in Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs) to support a leading semiconductor and wireless technology company. This role focuses on semiconductor device characterization, bench testing, hardware/software debugging, and test solution development to improve product quality, yield, and test efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, debug, and integrate test hardware and software for PMIC and analog/mixed-signal semiconductor devices.
  • Perform device-level characterization, first-silicon debugging, and module verification using laboratory test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electronic circuits, test systems, and component-level failures; drive failure analysis to resolution.
  • Analyze characterization data, establish test limits, and support yield improvement and test-time optimization.
  • Develop and automate test scripts, generate technical documentation, and communicate findings to cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, reliability, and test engineering teams to support product development and quality objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, semiconductor devices, and digital, analog, mixed-signal, or power management fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, source meters, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong hardware/software troubleshooting, component-level debugging, and failure investigation skills.
  • Basic programming experience in Python, VB, Perl, or similar languages, along with statistical data analysis skills.
  • Strong communication, documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PMIC measurement and characterization, ASIC testing, or semiconductor product/test development.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing, quality and reliability testing, and statistical process control.
  • Experience with automated test equipment such as Teradyne iFlex/UFlex or Advantest 93K.
  • Knowledge of bench-test automation, test-time reduction, and yield improvement methodologies.
  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.

Work Environment: This is a fully onsite, bench-test laboratory role involving small test boards and laboratory instruments. No driving is required, and there are no specific physical weight-lifting requirements.
