Job summary

Cummins Inc. invites engineering students to join a 12-month co-op program based on a full-time, on-site schedule in the U.S. Midwest. You will engage in verification, validation, and test activities across diverse products, environments, and customer requirements.

Expect to work 40 hours per week with mentorship, while contributing to process improvements and QA decisions. Eligible candidates are pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degrees with GPA 2.5+.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time enrolled student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited U.S. college/university
• Minimum GPA 2.5 preferred
• Must be able to complete 4–12 months commitment
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week
• Willingness to learn on the job
• Must reside within the continental U.S.

Responsibilities

• Investigates product test system problems and documents results with guidance
• Supports improvement of test systems, design validation, and tools
• Coordinates with lab customers and technicians to deliver test requirements
• Assists in component selection, calibration, and operating processes
• Contributes to problem resolution for moderately complex components or subsystems
• Participates in evolving work processes and technology knowledge
• May involve coordinating among engineers and technicians
• Contributes to team goals and demonstrates core competencies
