Job description

Product Support Specialist

Record-USA, a subsidiary of ASSA Abloy, is seeking a talented Product Support Specialist/ Service and Installation Technician to support security door products.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Provide technical support to airports and field technicians including after hours remote support;
  • Perform service and planned maintenance on security products including repair work by replacing electronic components, drives, controls, and motor gearboxes;
  • Train field technicians on site for planned maintenance, service work, and installations;
  • Install upgrade kits;
  • Install security door systems in the field and interface them with building management systems;
  • Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical issues;
  • Report and log details of each job.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • High School or equivalent, with specialized courses in electronics and/or mechanics;
  • 5-7 years of experience in troubleshooting electronic and mechanical components;
  • Knowledge of the principles of basic electric power, electronics, and electro-mechanical assemblies;
  • Able to use standard electronic and electrical test equipment and basic power tools (drill press, saw, etc.) as well as programming tools on chip level;
  • Able to lift 75 pounds;
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office tools;
  • Able to maintain a safe working environment;
  • Must possess a “hands-on” mentality, excellent social and interpersonal skills, be a strong motivated contributor in a team environment but also able to work independently;
  • Able to take direction and guidance, and work well within the cooperative culture of Record-USA;
  • Required to travel up to 75% around the country.
