Job summary

Safran is seeking a Product Support Engineer in Grand Prairie, TX to support aeronautic repair station operations and to design and maintain test benches, jigs, and tools for Safran Actuation systems.

The role requires a mechanical engineering background, 2+ years of relevant experience, ITAR compliance, and strong problem-solving and collaboration skills across quality, operations, and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 2+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and hands-on experience.
  • US work authorization without company sponsorship.
  • ITAR US person status (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for aeronautic repair station operations with Quality, Operations, Program Management, suppliers, and customers.
  • Prepare, write, and review technical documentation and procedures for product maintenance and testing.
  • Oversee and validate First Article Inspection with Quality and Shop Managers.
  • Develop and implement new maintenance and test capabilities, ensuring company standards and specifications are met.
  • Design, modify, and upgrade test benches, jigs, and tools to optimize maintenance of Safran Actuation systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting and lab testing, converting findings into actionable reports.
  • Validate tool and equipment designs against technical requirements.
  • Lead the resolution of engineering-related line stoppages.
  • Plan and track project progress, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide training to technicians on maintenance procedures for new products.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory policies (ITAR, internal guidelines).

Minimum Requirements (Read Carefully):
