POSITION SUMMARY:

With limited guidance in a team environment, responsible for performing a variety of product support duties of a

complex nature following and developing procedures and processes in two or more of the following functions: Induction Receiving, parts identification, shipping, receiving, stockroom, stock handling, clean operations, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

INDUCTION RECEIVING

Receive incoming stock from customers and depots and verify material against documentation for identification and accuracy of quantity. Load and unload trucks and move material to the proper location. Perform induction process into MSS and Rcard. Issue jobs per schedule and update shop floor and MRP system. Coordinate the storage, handling, receiving and inventory procedures. Requisition raw material per work order requirements.

PARTS IDENTIFICATION

Identify parts using the proper identification methods and equipment indicated by the traveler and/or blueprint.

Lay out exact dimensions and locations on the parts for identification markings. Perform set up and minor repair

of equipment. Report critical shortages to appropriate organizations. Review traveler or other appropriate

documents to determine if the instructions are appropriate. Recommend identification method changes were

appropriate. Maintain an accurate serialized record. Maintain the equipment and supplies necessary to accomplish

assigned responsibilities.

SCHEDULING

Update the production and inventory control system with information that is timely and accurate.

Stage and coordinate work in the area to meet schedules and effectively utilize resources.With general supervision, responsible for coordinating the timely movement and processing of parts on assigned

programs or areas to meet customer delivery schedules. Coordinate release of material/components to fill shortages for orders in work in process. Work in conjunction with the planners for new parts procurement and/or processed parts requirements daily for parts shortages and on request participate in long range planning meetings. Also, satisfy requirements for aircraft on ground (A.O.G.) maintenance agreements and expedited jobs. Move materials utilizing forklift, dolly, hand truck or other types of carts. Monitor and coordinate the packaging of parts to prevent damage.

STOCKROOM

Receive material, check, and identify parts by type or part number. Prepare parts for storage and place stock in

proper location as directed. Select parts from stock to fill orders according to parts lists. Perform cycle

inventory count. Maintain, update and access necessary records utilizing a computer. Prioritize workload as needed and perform basic maintenance and require of equipment. Requisition raw material per work order requirements. May perform advanced functionalMSS/MRP commands.

Observe all safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.

Perform other related responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Three years related product support experience or demonstrated ability to perform described position

responsibilities.

Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures and systems in several functional areas and ability to effectively

troubleshoot problem situations.

May be required to operate moving equipment and saw equipment and meet OSHA safety qualifications.

May require forklift operator certificate.

Proficient knowledge of computer terminal operations.

Must demonstrate manual dexterity.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting related forms and specifications.

May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $26.14-$39.47 per hour.
