This role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, is expected to transition to the new, independent company, Solstice Advanced Materials, planned for late 2025 or early 2026.

Product Stewardship Specialist

The Product Stewardship Specialist provides expert guidance on compliance with US chemicals regulations, including chemicals registration, food, drug, and device regulations, and product safety. As a key member of the regional Product Stewardship Americas team, this role supports sustainable growth and requires relevant chemistry education, technical skills, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement programs to ensure compliance with chemicals registration and notification regulations, building relationships with service providers.
  2. Maintain expert knowledge of regional regulations and industry standards.
  3. Anticipate and communicate regulatory changes affecting existing products and new product introductions.
  4. Collaborate with regional teams to manage emerging issues.
  5. Provide guidance to the business and develop compliance plans.
  6. Identify and mitigate risks early in the product lifecycle.
  7. Assess potential product uses and misuses, conducting appropriate risk assessments.
  8. Work with manufacturing to ensure products are safe to make, use, and dispose of.
  9. Manage SDS authoring, updating safety data sheets, labels, and stewardship literature.
U.S. Person Requirements

Due to US export control laws, candidates must be US citizens, permanent residents, or have asylum or refugee status in the US.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with data management and IT systems
Valued Qualifications
  • BSc in chemistry, environmental health science, or related field
  • MS degree preferred
  • Knowledge of industry standards like ISO, OECD, UN frameworks
  • Ability to build relationships with regulatory authorities and stakeholders
  • Willingness to work in a multinational matrix organization; travel as needed
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills
  • High integrity and professionalism
