Join to apply for the Product Stewardship Specialist role at Mitsui Chemicals Group

This position is responsible for coordinating product regulatory compliance for Mitsui Chemicals America, Inc. (MCA) and providing related information to stakeholders such as customers and governmental authorities. The role involves understanding and adhering to the Mid Term Plan (MTP) and Budget, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations for chemical products, and implementing and maintaining the quality management system for MCA products.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing the MTP Budget under the guidance of the manager.
  • Implementing MTP and Budget strategies.
  • Maintaining management system records and documentation.
  • Supporting regulatory compliance and product stewardship activities, including monitoring regulations like EPA, FDA, DOT, OSHA, BIS, CBP, EU REACH, RoHS, ELV, and food contact regulations.
  • Engaging with raw material suppliers for QA and product stewardship surveys.
  • Drafting and finalizing declarations of compliance, SDSs, and GHS labels.
  • Supporting quality assurance processes, including reviewing quality control data and raw material COAs.
  • Providing backup support to team members and training new hires as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, industrial engineering, toxicology, environmental sciences, or related fields.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and conformity assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with regulatory databases.

Work Conditions: Moderate noise environment, ability to travel up to 15%, and flexibility to work beyond normal hours as needed.

Preferred Education: Degree in chemistry, environmental sciences, or related fields.
