Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Cudahy, WI is seeking a Product Stacker for the second shift with heavy lifting. You will inspect, stack, and palletize product according to codes, and ensure pallets are ready for transport.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect and stack product according to product code or load number.
• Virtually inspect pallets and remove unusable ones from the line.
• Wrap pallets with cardboard corners and prepare loads for transport.
• Maintain area housekeeping and follow safe lifting techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Crew Leader or Supervisor.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: *Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:* * Inspect and stack product according to product code or load number.* Virtually inspect pallets; using only those in good condition and stacking unusable ones off the side.* Use cardboard sheets to cover each pallet; palletize according to product specification.* Wrap, using cardboard corners on necessary loads and transport each stock pallet load to appropriate areas.* Area housekeeping.* Follow safe lifting/bending techniques.* Follow proper job rotation as assigned by Crew Leader and/or Supervisor.* Performs other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader and Supervisor.
