Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for increasing sales of Neogen’s natural toxin product line (Mycotoxin products; Veratox/Q+/Q+ MAX) across the USA and Canada, focusing on the milling and grain industry.
  2. Serve as one of four key Specialists in the USAC region, aiming to expand Neogen's market share and share of wallet across customer segments.
  3. Sell and position Neogen’s Natural Toxin products with key influencers, large multinational accounts, distributors, and sub-distributors.
  4. Act as a pre-sale business development and technical subject matter expert, with some support for large strategic account projects regionally.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop strong relationships within client organizations at various levels, ensuring high client satisfaction and proper agreements.
  • Position Natural Toxin products in laboratories, food production environments, and with key accounts.
  • Understand operational impacts of quality systems, metrics, and KPIs relevant to food production and supply chains.
  • Travel up to 10% for presentations, support, and sales activities to drive product adoption and revenue growth.
  • Demonstrate Neogen products emphasizing their value and differentiation to achieve profitable sales growth.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Portfolio management, technical services, and other team members on market trends and competition.
  • Support smaller inside sales accounts, large customers, and key strategic accounts as part of the sales team.
  • Provide customer data management and participate in industry events and trade shows to generate leads and promote Neogen solutions.
  • Act as an ambassador at trade shows, training events, and industry meetings.
  • Continuously build skills in product knowledge, market segments, and sales techniques.

Education and Experience: College degree in Biochemistry, Food Science, Chemistry, Human/Animal Nutrition, or related fields preferred. Equivalent work experience may be acceptable. Knowledge of carbohydrates or enzymology is a plus. Certifications like PCQI, HACCP are beneficial.
