Job summary

JCB North America is seeking a qualified candidate to assist in product development, pricing, training, market strategy, and marketing communications for the Compact line in North America. This full-time role is based in Pooler, GA and reports to the Marketing Department.

The position requires a BA/BS in business or engineering and 2+ years in sales, product marketing, engineering, or customer support, with proficiency in MS Office and related tools.

Qualifications

• B.A. in Business or B.S. Engineering (or similar) is required.
• 2+ years in sales, product marketing, engineering, or customer support within the industry.
• Must pass drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Support strategy, product roadmap and technical specifications for North America.
• Create audience-specific messages and tools for web, events, and campaigns.
• Provide ongoing product support to product managers, dealers and sales teams.
• Gather voice-of-customer insights to inform development.
• Monitor competitor activity and maintain pricing/market data files.
• Coordinate with Marketing to create materials and attend shows.

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for assisting in product development, pricing, training, market strategy and marketing communications to support the growth of the Compact product lines sales volume in North America.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

• Key team responsible for Mine Excavator product health in North America
• Assisting in the overall strategy, product roadmap and technical/feature specifications for new products based on long-term product vision, user needs, technical and market trends, and platform capabilities
• Partnering with division and support teams to provide target product specifications and product features for completion of current and future product development of the product line
• Supporting in the development of compelling audience-specific messages and tools (videos, customer success stories, presentations, demos, how to guides etc.), to be used on the web, events and in campaigns
• Provide on-going product support to product manager, dealer, and direct sales teams
• Gather comprehensive voice of customer analysis to support product development activities
• Assist in tracking and communicating competitor product activity and product trends to division and regional sales teams
• Maintain competitive data files on pricing and market share
• Create and conduct sales training seminars and demonstrations
• Coordinate with the Marketing Department to create marketing materials
• Attend relevant shows and conventions
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• B.A. in Business, B.S. Engineering or similar
• 2 + years sales, product marketing, engineering and/or customer support experience in the industry or similar
• Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands on experience with Mini Excavators
• Exposure to construction, landscaping and agricultural customers
• Exposure to equipment dealers
• Experience in product development and operations environments

Job Conditions
