Job summary

Staffmark Workforce Solutions is seeking a Product Specialist for Home Appliances in Plano, TX. The role focuses on weekly and monthly analyses of product quality, root cause analysis, and coordinating cross-functional reports to improve performance across models and categories.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, math, or business and have 0-2 years in analytics, with strong communication and a drive to learn in a dynamic appliance environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, math, or a business-related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in an analytics-focused role.
  • Interest in the Home Appliance field and ability to assess and disassemble parts as part of R&R.
  • Must be able to drive – will occasionally drive locally between training facility, warehouse, and office.
  • Great communicator; eager to learn and tenacious – proactive go-getter.

Responsibilities

  • Weekly and monthly analysis for product quality sensing by product, model, and symptoms.
  • Monitor new model quality performance by comparing benchmark model trends.
  • Coordinate weekly and monthly reports and presentations to related teams.
  • Conduct new product evaluation and testing for continuous improvement in product and service quality.
  • Analyze home appliance product categories’ top issues, identify root causes and corrective actions with HQ and factories.
  • Analyze product quality data with ASR trends for projects/models.
  • Monitor quality case issues by daily tracking tickets.
  • Manage theme cards for pending quality issues until solutions are found with HQ.
  • Part/Unit retrieval.
  • Demonstrate product value and provide insights to customers on complex products.
  • Analyze industry, competition, and market knowledge to highlight positive value of our solutions.
  • Recommend product and service configurations for system design and integration.
  • Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across the team.

Product Specialist – Home Appliances

Responsibilities:
  • Weekly and monthly analysis for product quality sensing. Analysis by product, model, and symptoms.

  • Conduct new product evaluation processes and testing efforts for continuous improvement in product and service quality.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and test various Home Appliance Product Categories’ top symptoms and issues, identify root causes and corrective actions with internal teams, HQ, and Factories.
  • Product quality data analysis with ASR trends of projects/models.
  • Monitor quality case issues by daily tracking tickets.
  • Theme card management of pending and in progress quality issues until solutions are found through communication with HQ.
  • Part/Unit Retrieval.
  • Demonstrates the value of a product technology to advance customers’ objectives.
  • Provides insight and thought leadership to customers concerning the applicability of highly complex products.
  • Analyzes and applies industry, competition, and market knowledge to present the positive value of our solutions.
  • Recommends product and service configurations to assist with any system design and integration necessary.
  • Develops and implements a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
  • Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, math, or a business-related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in an analytics-focused role.
  • Has a great interest in the Home Appliance field and can assess and disassemble parts as part of R&R.
  • Must be able to drive – will occasionally drive (locally) between training facility, warehouse, and office.

  • Root cause analysis.
  • Understanding manufacturing, engineering, and design.
  • Experience with in-home appliance service, analysis, root cause determination, and troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills:
  • The ability to understand significant knowledge of home appliance products as well as the service aspects of the consumer product industry.
  • The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple levels within the company and with external contacts including customers, authorized service agents, sales & equipment service representatives, etc.
  • Work under little supervision and guidance to identify and ensure achievement of team goals and to complete individual work assignments within established time frames.
  • The demonstrated ability to solve problems involving highly diverse conditions requiring creativity to search for solutions among learned things.
