Job summary

Amphenol TPC Wire & Cable seeks an entry‑level Product Specialist to support the Product Management team. You will triage help‑desk tickets, maintain product documentation, and assist with new product development tasks. Qualifications

  • Commutable to Macedonia, OH and in‑office at least 3 days per week.
  • Willingness to travel up to ~10% (domestic supplier/customer visits as needed).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Triage, track, and resolve product help‑desk tickets for assigned SKUs; escalate technical issues and document resolution steps.
  • Maintain and distribute up‑to‑date product documents (spec sheets, sell sheets, FAQs) and ensure version control.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose process or documentation updates to reduce ticket volume.
  • Prepare price change requests and supporting documentation for manager review; run basic margin/sensitivity checks in Excel.
  • Assist with transactional pricing updates in ERP/price book systems under direction.
  • Support quotation preparation by collecting technical inputs and standard product descriptions.
  • Assist Product Managers on New Product Development tasks: assemble requirement briefs, coordinate sample logistics, track pilot run metrics, and maintain launch checklists.
  • Help coordinate cross‑functional gating meetings, capture action items, and follow up to closure.
  • Create and maintain simple sales tools, technical one‑pagers, and training aids in coordination with marketing.
  • Schedule and support product training sessions; maintain attendance and feedback records.
  • Act as first‑line contact for sales when they need standard product information.
  • Build and maintain basic Excel trackers and dashboards for product KPIs (tickets, launch status, inventory notes).
  • Assist with data entry and help keep product master data accurate (descriptions, specs, part relationships).
  • Prepare routine status reports and meeting decks for Product Managers.
  • Coordinate requests to sourcing/operations/quality for drawings, samples, and basic technical clarifications.
  • Track supplier sample deliveries and documentation; escape delays.

Job description

The Product Specialist role supports the Product Management team. This is an entry‑to‑early career position designed for a highly organized, action‑oriented individual who will manage product help‑desk requests, support pricing approvals, maintain product documentation, enable the field with training materials, and own day‑to‑day execution tasks for new product development and lifecycle activities. Little to no prior experience is required; strong organizational skills, clear communication, willingness to learn and basic Excel competency are essential. An engineering degree is not required.

Responsibilities
Product Operations & Help Desk
