Job Summary

The Product Specialist serves as the technical and application expert supporting Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and dealer partners within an assigned territory. This role drives product demonstrations, dealer development, end‑user engagement, and field‑level technical support to accelerate sales growth, increase market penetration, and strengthen the FECON brand. This is a revenue‑supporting, field‑based position that bridges Sales, Dealers, Engineering, and End Users.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
Product Demonstration & Tow‑N‑Show Execution
  • Conduct jobsite demos, dealer demo days, and trade show support.
  • Operate FECON equipment in real‑world applications.
  • Clearly communicate performance advantages, applications, and ROI.
Dealer & Sales Support
  • Conduct joint sales calls with RSMs and dealer teams.
  • Provide new equipment set up and hands‑on training.
  • Assist dealers in identifying and qualifying end‑user opportunities.
  • Support sell‑through of inventory and strategic initiatives.
Lead Development
  • Identify qualified end‑user prospects and provide leads to dealers.
  • Assist RSMs in aligning product solutions with territory needs.
Technical Expertise & Field Support
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and application‑related issues.
  • Interpret schematics and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with service teams to minimize downtime.
Product Feedback & Market Intelligence
  • Provide structured field feedback to Engineering and Product Management.
  • Support testing, validation, and launch of new products.
  • Monitor competitive activity and emerging market opportunities.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in construction, forestry, land clearing, or heavy equipment industry preferred.
  • Product Specialist, Field Application, or Technical Sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (hydraulic/electrical knowledge preferred).
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage extensive travel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery and traverse active jobsites.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Travel 60–75% depending on territory.
