Job summary

Red E, LLC in Fargo, North Dakota seeks a Product Specialist to be the technical product expert for customers, dealers, sales teams, and internal groups. The position requires frequent travel across the Midwest, with work located in Fargo or Wichita offices.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in agriculture, diesel technology, engineering, mechanics, or related field.
  • 3+ years in agricultural equipment, farming operations, equipment dealerships, field service, or technical sales.
  • Valid driver's license; Class A CDL preferred.
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop expert knowledge of Red E products, equipment, technologies, and applications.
  • Provide field-based technical support to customers, dealers, and sales personnel.
  • Assist with product setup, calibration, operation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control-system issues in collaboration with service and engineering teams.
  • Support customers during critical planting, application, tillage, and harvest periods.
  • Plan and conduct product demonstrations, customer clinics, and training events.
  • Explain product features, applications, competitive advantages, and ROI considerations.
  • Support sales personnel in identifying solutions that fit customer operations and equipment needs.
  • Develop and deliver hands-on training for customers and dealers.

Job description

Position Summary

The Product Specialist serves as the technical product expert and primary field resource for customers, dealers, sales personnel, and internal teams throughout North Dakota and surrounding areas. This customer‑facing, field‑based role is focused on supporting the successful introduction, demonstration, sale, operation, and continuous improvement of RedE products and equipment.

This role works collaboratively with customers, dealers, engineering, sales, service, and product development teams to ensure products are operating effectively and customers receive exceptional support throughout the ownership experience.

Travel Requirements

This role requires frequent travel throughout the Midwest and surrounding areas to support customers, dealers, demonstrations, training events, field evaluations, and industry events. Team members should expect significant travel during peak planting, application, and harvest seasons, including occasional overnight stays. Travel schedules may vary based on customer needs and seasonal demands. This role requires a high level of comfort working in field‑based and travel‑heavy environments. This role can work out of our Fargo or Wichita offices.

  • Support sales personnel in identifying solutions that best fit customer operations and equipment needs.
  • Develop and deliver hands‑on training for customers and dealers.
  • Create and maintain setup instructions, troubleshooting resources, training materials, and operator guidance documents.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback regarding product performance, reliability, usability, and customer needs.
  • Coordinate field testing, product evaluations, and pre‑production trials.
  • Build relationships with growers, dealers, agricultural organizations, and industry contacts.
  • Represent Red E professionally at trade shows, field days, customer events, and industry meetings.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high‑quality standard.
  • Maintain accurate and organized work practices.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in agriculture, diesel technology, engineering, mechanics, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience with agricultural equipment, farming operations, equipment dealerships, product support, field service, or technical sales.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of agricultural equipment and systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control‑system issues.
  • Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Class A CDL or ability to obtain Class A CDL preferred.
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned territory.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and work ethic.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic environment.
