About the job

In this role, you will understand the technical complexities of online advertising, particularly Google Ads, and possess a passion for helping customers succeed. You will solve issues, serve as a technical consultant and trusted advisor for Google Ads customers, leverage troubleshooting skills to identify root causes, develop troubleshooting tools and solutions, and communicate effectively with audiences from engineers to executives. You will also identify trends and advocate for customer needs to improve products and processes. This role combines technical problem-solving, customer interaction, and critical thinking, offering the opportunity to own the customer experience and drive positive change in the Ads ecosystem.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in system design or in one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
  • 3 years of experience in technical troubleshooting and managing internal/external partners or customers.
Preferred qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or Applied Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in technical product support, cloud support, quality engineering, or site reliability engineering.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience in business analysis, analytics, dashboards, and making recommendations.
  • Knowledge of Google Ads or online advertising solutions and the media/tech landscape.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and deliver outstanding customer service, troubleshooting and resolving issues with Google's advertisers, sales teams, agencies, and partners, while learning about AI-powered Ads products and platforms.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, applying product expertise to resolve escalations.
  • Develop tools and automation for diagnostics, data fixes, and debugging, independently or with Product Engineering teams.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to improve product features.
  • Partner with sales and cross-functional teams to enhance the customer journey, develop data-driven action plans, and promote product adoption.
