Job summary

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is hiring a Product Software Engineer I to help build, test, and support software powering Disney's advertising technology products. You will work with experienced engineers to develop data processing and platform applications and grow in cloud and big data technologies.

This role values curiosity, ownership, and collaboration within an agile team, offering the chance to contribute to reliable, scalable solutions across Disney's media platforms

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of software development experience.
  • Foundational experience with Java or Python.
  • Understanding of data processing and big data concepts.
  • Familiarity with SQL and cloud concepts.
  • Strong communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software components for data processing and platform applications.
  • Build batch and near-real-time data pipelines with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Write clean, readable, and testable code following engineering best practices.
  • Use modern AI-assisted development tools to improve coding efficiency, debugging, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
  • Support production systems and help investigate technical issues.
